Rev. Dr. Sheila R. McKeithen

Rev. Dr. Sheila McKeithen is featured in the film, “Discover the Gift”.  A clear ‘mouthpiece’ of the universal spiritual principles, she defied the odds in 1986 when the doctors assured her that she had less than six (6) days to live. More than Twenty-five (25) years later, she has achieved her dream of becoming an attorney at law having served as a former local bar association president, and former board member for Legal Aid of Broward County and the Florida Law Related Association.

At the height of her legal career, when she served as an Assistant Attorney General (Florida), she was ordained and assigned to minister in Jamaica for 6 months.  Today, that assignment continues as she begins her 16th year as Senior Minister of The Universal Centre of Truth for Better Living in Kingston, Jamaica.

Rev. Sheila, as she is fondly called, believes that her mission is to be a vehicle for ‘hope and healing’ while living in humble surrender to the truth that her life work comes through her but it originates out of the depths of Divine Spirit.  A remarkable woman for Spirit, she exudes an energy that often leads her audience into serious ‘life changes’, a sense of ‘self-worth’, confidence, unconditional love and laughter.

In addition to serving as the spiritual leader of the ministry in Jamaica, she also serves as Regional Director for Missions in the Caribbean, the Bahamas and in South America on behalf of The Universal Foundation for Better Livings (U.F.B.L.). Whether her presentation takes the form of prayer, a key note address, workshop, seminar, retreat, panel discussion or a friendly chat, you can be sure that love will be the answer and healing will be the result.

An eight time author of the monthly U.F.B.L. publication, The Daily Inspiration (the most recent being February 2010), Dr. McKeithen also produced a compact disc (cd) entitled, Daily Dose of Motivation, that contains inspiring motivational messages designed to ‘lift and encourage’ the listener to awaken to their power to choose victory rather than victimhood.  She was inducted into the Martin Luther King’s Board of Preachers at Morehouse College in 2001.

Dr. McKeithen serves on the faculty of two seminaries: The Johnnie Colemon Theological Seminary (Fla.) and The University of Transformational Leadership and Studies (Calif.) Her favourite scripture is Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.”
